New Guide – and its free
March 26th, 2016
A new, free, downloadable guide is now available for a section of Mary/Michael Pilgrims Way, covering the stretch across the Vale of White Horse and through South Oxfordshire, between Churn Knob on the Berkshire Downs and Pyrton at the foot of the Chilterns, a distance of about 36 miles
The guide written by Bill McMullen is a wonderful contribution to the ongoing development of the pilgrimage and will I hope inspire others, not only to walk in Bill’s footsteps, but perhaps also consider the possibility of putting together similar guidance notes for parts of the pilgrimage that they are familiar with.
To quote from Bill’s introduction to the 15 page guide, “The route reflects my personal experience of the area, recently shed in a new light by the Michael and Mary energy lines, as they weave across the county.”
The guide offers those already familiar with the other guidebooks we have produced an opportunity for further exploration whilst also enabling those new to our project the possibility to dip their toe in the waters of pilgrimage. There is much for the spiritual seeker to enjoy along the way, with ancient monuments and churches set within a beautiful landscape.
With spring in the air, it seems a good time to contemplate the prospect of pilgrimage, an opportunity to connect with the earth and our place in the scheme of things. To receive this free download simply click on the title. A walk along Mary/Michael Pilgrims Way – Oxfordshire
