As part of our ongoing cooperation with DEFAN (Devon Earth, Faith Action Network) we are offering
DARTMOOR SPRING PILGRIMAGE 2017
Sunday 23rd April, 11.00am
Richard Dealler is leading this from Okehampton to
Belstone, a distance of about 4-5 miles.
Starting on the edge of the high moor with expansive views,
we will walk through farmland, wooded river valley and
across moor; visiting a holy well, site of an ancient chapel
and a bronze age burial site before concluding at St Mary’s
Church, Belstone with its granite standing stone carved with
an early Christian ring cross.
Duration about 4 hours, with walking, silence, refl ections on
pilgrimage from different traditions woven into the day and if
you feel inspired, a poem, prayer, story or song to share.
Please bring packed lunch and appropriate clothing and
footwear. Shared transport available from Exeter on request.
