Summer Solstice Pilgrimage – West Cornwall
April 14th, 2013
21st-27th June.
To follow on from the Beltane pilgrimage over Dartmoor we are now offering a pilgrimage beginning on the Summer Solstice. From the cliff tops at Carn lês Boel we will walk as far as the banks of the Fal estuary following a stretch of Mary/Michael Pilgrims Way through Cornwall.
This journey will be over 7 days, for a maximum of 15 people. We will camp on route, with luggage carried by our support vehicle which also gives us the flexibility of a mobile kitchen.
Our pilgrimage will begin on Friday morning at Polgigga (close to Land’s End) and will end on the following Thursday morning at Come-to-Good (near Truro), with transport provided to link with bus or train services.
Many sites of spiritual significance will be visited along the way and we will incorporate appropriate ceremonies which we will co-create to enhance our sense of the sacred.
We will walk on average about 10 miles a day with periods of silence as we walk interspersed with opportunity to share and get to know others participating in the pilgrimage. The landscape through which we will be walking is justifiably renowned as some of the most beautiful in Britain.
The pilgrimage is being offered on a sliding scale of between £150 and £220 according to income. This cost will include campsite fees and all meals. Food will be nourishing, vegetarian and where possible organic.
We have already had lots of inquiries about this pilgrimage, so if you feel inspired to join us and want more information, do get in touch.
