Journey’s End
October 16th, 2014
Congratulations to Debby and Keith Badger. I have just received a text message from them, saying they had walked into Hopton this afternoon at the end of their pilgrimage, 74 days after leaving from Carn Les Boel in Cornwall.
An amazing achievement in itself, whilst the sincerity and detail of their blog will I’m sure be a great asset in the development of this pilgrimage route, providing much useful practical information as well as thoughtful insight to those who may choose to follow in their footsteps.
David Kelf who has been offering practical support over the last few days of their journey, and other members of the local dowsing group were on hand to welcome Debby and Keith as they arrived in Hopton. David handed them one of our oak waymark plaques which has the pilgrimage project logo laser etched into the wood. It seemed a fitting memento which I am told will now have a place of honour on their mantelpiece back in Melbourne.
For late arrivals to their blog, you can catch up on all the ups and downs of their pilgrimage in their very honest and uplifting account at http://www.travelpod.com/travel-blog-entries/debandkeith/2/1413486859/tpod.html
