Get Involved
Mary/Michael Pilgrims Way is a small not for profit organisation. We hope that our vision of establishing a pilgrimage route across England will inspire others to get involved both in walking the route but also by participating in other ways enabling the project to evolve and grow sustainably.
If you have an interest in identifying and researching a part of the route extending eastwards beyond Avebury do get in touch. It can be particularly valuable when someone living close to the Michael and Mary energy lines contributes their local knowledge to informing the development of the route.
This is clearly shown by the guidance notes written by Bill McMullen for a section of Mary/Michael Pilgrims Way through the Vale of White Horse and South Oxfordshire, between Churn Knob on the Berkshire Downs and Pyrton at the foot of the Chilterns, a distance of about 36 miles, which can be downloaded here for free. A walk along Mary/Michael Pilgrims Way – Oxfordshire.
I hope this will inspire others, not only to walk in Bill’s footsteps, but perhaps also consider the possibility of putting together similar guidance notes for parts of the pilgrimage that they are familiar with.
To quote from Bill’s introduction to the 15 page guide, “The route reflects my personal experience of the area, recently shed in a new light by the Michael and Mary energy lines, as they weave across the county.”
